Network management is becoming one of the challenging issue as network complexity increases. IT managers are those who are responsible to manage complex networks as possible as efficient. However , as human being it is always probable to have wrong choices when emergent situation occurs. It is same for IT managers as well. When something goes wrong in network , they have to perform some actions to overcome and make it stable. Overloading is one of the such trouble situations that network managers must handle not to system down as soon as possible. As in many areas , training is the best way of being experienced person.
In this project, I am trying to develop a network simulator tool to simulate traffic flow pattern in network. One who uses this tool will learn what is the best way managing traffic flow in network to prevent overloading and link failures. User will be asked to manage traffic pattern of a given network topology by changing link weights. As link weights changes, traffic flow pattern may change and throughput changes as well. User will try to maximize throughput. Thus, user will comprehend how complex network overloading problem can be handled.
